About Stephen

Stephen has had a life long love affair with all things technical. Starting when he was young his father taught him the basics of photography with the family’s 35mm SLR camera. From that point on he always carried the knowledge that photography was something that he was interested in. Fast forward to later in life, digital cameras are flooding the market and having a job allowed Stephen to purchase his first camera. After many years of absence he was hooked, from there he upgraded again and again as the technology rapidly progressed and eventually shifted towards a digital SLR.

This new platform allowed Stephen to flourish as a photographer, he devoured material on the internet and in print, pushing himself with new tools and techniques. Finally in 2006 he was offered his first paid position with a local photographer helping to cover sporting events. Through this he sharpened his skills eventually branching out into other photographic disciplines such as weddings, lifestyle, product photography and wildlife. Along the way Fast Track Photography was born as a way for Stephen to bring his love for photography to the people of the Ottawa and it’s surrounding areas.
